I had an allergic reaction to one of the chemo's today, swollen tongue, red splotches on my face, neck and tummy, pressure in my head, red hands that started itching and pressure on my sternum. They disconnected me and the symptoms diminished quickly, mostly gone after 15 minutes. A bit disconcerting and they won't be giving me that chemo so I'm not sure if they try a different one or if I'll just be getting the other ones. It's rare to have that reaction they said.
I'm home now feeling wrung out but peaceful. I'm glad I tolerated that chemo,oxaliplatin, as long as I did.
